Health ScreeningHealth Screening takes place in all the schools. Volunteers are needed to assist with the screening.
Marshall Public School Nurses will be following the Minnesota Department of Health recommendations for Vision/Hearing Screenings.
The recommendations are as follows:
Screening in schools, grades: K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 10
We will continue to take parent, teacher, child referrals for visual behaviors or hearing concerns.
New students to our district will be screened, special education students as able, and any other high risk students.
Changing to the state recommendations, will allow us to complete and send needed referrals to parents/guardians in a timely manner.
