I graduated in 2002 from SMSU with a Biology Education Major. My Minnesota license includes Biology 7-12, Earth Science 9-12 and Middle School Science. My teaching experience includes 4 years of substitute teaching, 2 years of 8th grade Physical Science in Colorado, 7 years of 7th and 8th Grade Science at Holy Redeemer School, and 5 years as the Science teacher at MATEC.
I have four loving, smart, and beautiful daughters. Two are adults and two are students at Marshall High School. The family includes a bird, a cat, 2 dogs and 2 gerbils. Yes, I love animals! I was born and raised in Colorado, therefore am a DIE HARD Denver Broncos fan. Other than watching Denver play football, I enjoy any outdoor activity. I especially love to garden, identify and watch birds, and camp.
My calling for education came when I was a paraprofessional at Tracy Area Elementary. Within my first week of that job, I KNEW EXACTLY what I needed to do with the rest of my life. I absolutely love teaching, even when it is VERY HARD. Know that my dedication to teaching extends to each and every student.
