Degrees and Certifications:

B.S. Social Studies M.A. Education

Mrs. Cole

I'm excited for this new year at Marshall High School!  This will be my 31st year of teaching and my 7th year at Marshall High School.

I  grew up in Bloomington, MN and graduated from Jefferson High School.  I received a Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University and a Master's degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. I traded life in the Cities for life with my husband on a farm in 2013--it's been quite the adventure!  I love to read, play volleyball, golf, sing, spend time with family, 4-wheel, hike & cheer on & hang with grandkids!

Oh, I also love to travel! In fact, I have been to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Belize, Hawaii, Guatemala, Honduras, Taiwan, Hong Kong, The Netherlands and Australia. All of which come in handy for teaching social studies. In the summer of 2004, I had the opportunity to go to Africa (Mozambique & S. Africa) to work with people affected by AIDS. In the summer of 2007, I went to Vienna, Austria where I coached volleyball! In 2009, I went to Chile & Peru on a Fulbright-Hays grant to study geography and human migration patterns. It was an amazing experience!  I have one continent left to visit....can you name it?

I look forward to the adventures that this year will bring!
