Learning to Read in the elementary grades is critical to future success! For this reason, much of your child's day is spent LEARNING TO READ!
At Park Side Elementary, we use a Balanced Literacy approach to learning to read. Students spend time in whole group, smaller Guided Reading groups, and Reading independently. If a student is not making adequate progress, we provide additional time and support to assure their success. Please let us know if you have concerns about your child's reading abilities.
