Welcome to the Marshall Public School District’s web page. Our goal is to provide helpful, up-to-date, and relevant information here. If you do not find what you are looking for, or have a suggestion that might help this web page be even more useful, please feel free to contact a staff member in our district office.
The 2015-2016 school year will be a busy one. Our current Strategic Plan (Vision 2016) will need updating and a Facilities Study Committee will continue to meet and develop recommendations how we might best address space/crowding, student enrollment growth, and facility needs. Both of these tasks will be most beneficial with input and involvement from students, staff, parents, and community members; consequently, we will continue to reach out stakeholders and ask for important input and assistance in these, and other, areas. As it has been, our focus will remain on student performance, constituent satisfaction, employee development, systems alignment, and fiscal responsibility.
Marshall Public Schools mission is "to develop the potential of each learner for success in a changing world." Continuing strides towards our mission and the district’s vision "to work as one in the pursuit of excellence” will require a continued focus on collaboration, communication, and commitment. It will take the entire community for our students and the district to be successful. Our mission, vision, and strategic plan will continue to serve as an important part of what we do and how we do it…our roadmap, if you will.
I have a tremendous appreciation of the quality school district that I am privileged to be a part of. The menu and quality of opportunities and services offered to students, reputation of the school district, exciting initiatives already taking place, promising future of the district, and the Marshall community in general are all positive attributes of the Marshall Public Schools. I am thrilled, grateful, and humbled to be a part of the district!
I am looking forward to continuing to meet as many people as I can and to do everything I can to serve the district. I am looking forward to a great year for our students, parents, staff, and residents. If you have questions or want to share your ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me at (507) 537-6924 or email@example.com. Thank you for your interest in our school district.
Yours in education,
Scott J. Monson, Superintendent
