Principal: Brian Jones

I am Brian Jones, Principal at Marshall High School and I have worked in education since 1997. I have had the good fortune to work at Marshall High School since 1999. I have served as Principal at MHS since the fall of 2005, and taught courses in Business, Industrial Technology, Health, and Physical Education at MHS prior to transitioning into school administration. I am married and have four children. The community of Marshall is second to none when it comes to raising a family and preparing the next generation to have the opportunity for success. This aligns well with the mission of Marshall Public Schools which is to, “educate, support, and prepare all learners for success.”
We have many areas to be proud of at Marshall High School, some of which include:
Robust 9th grade support programming to help 9th grade students transition to high school. Building Assets Reducing Risks and Link Crew are two programs we utilize to help 9th grade students succeed during their first year of high school.
Opportunities for students to earn post-secondary credit while in high school through programs such as Advanced Placement courses, College in the Schools courses, and post-secondary enrollment options, all of which are designed to challenge and enrich a student’s high school experience.
Extra and Co-curricular programming designed to meet a variety of student interests ranging from programming in a variety of Fine Arts areas to a wide variety of athletic and academic teams. We pride ourselves on having a high percentage of students participate in activity programs at Marshall High School.
Expanded academic and community-based programming that allows students to earn high school credit while preparing for future career opportunities. Examples include the opening of the Marshall Career and Technical Institute (CTI) focusing on Certified Nursing Assistant training, Automotive Repair, and welding courses that lead to industry recognized certifications. Other programming includes our Career Internship program, and the Creating Educational Opportunities program (CEO).
In addition to the above-mentioned student opportunities, we take immense pride in creating wonderful experiences for our students by focusing on continuous improvement in all aspects of our school. I am proud to call Marshall home and to have the opportunity to serve the students and families of Marshall High School. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or ideas that you may have to help improve MHS by benefiting our students.
