One of the highlights of our district is our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. These programs provide our students with hands-on learning experiences and the skills they need to succeed in their future careers. We are proud of the opportunities our CTE programs offer and the positive impact they have on our students’ lives.
Our commitment to increasing student achievement is unwavering. This year, we are focused on the full implementation of the READ Act, which aims to improve literacy and ensure that every student can read proficiently. We believe that strong reading skills are the foundation for academic success, and we are dedicated to supporting our students in reaching this important milestone.
Additionally, we are excited to continue to implement the BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) intervention framework at Marshall High School, Marshall Middle School, and Southview Elementary. This evidence-based program is designed to build strong relationships, identify and address barriers to learning, and create a positive school climate. We are confident that BARR will help us better support our students’ academic and social-emotional needs.
