School District Question 1 Approval of School District Referendum Revenue Authorization. The school board of Independent School District No. 413 (Marshall Public Schools) has proposed to increase its general education revenue by $765 per pupil. The proposed referendum revenue authorization would be applicable for ten years beginning with taxes payable in 2026, and increase each year by the rate of inflation beginning with taxes payable in 2027, unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law.    	  Yes   No	  Shall the increase in the revenue proposed by the school board of Independent School District No. 413 be approved?   BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.

Early voting begins: Friday, September 19

You must be registered to vote to cast your ballot. You can:

  • Register online

  • Register in person on Election Day with a valid ID and proof of residence

Vote early by mail: Early voting opens Friday, September 19. Request an absentee ballot from the Lyon County Elections Office

Vote early in person: Visit the Elections Office starting Friday, September 19 during business hours (M–F, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) to complete and submit your absentee ballot in person.

Vote on Election Day: Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Marshall Public Schools District Office (401 Saratoga St. Marshall, MN 56258 - Door 12)
