Thank you to the PITF for providing 5th graders with more outdoor equipment to use this school year. From many playing soccer, competitive games of football, to long lines of 4 square, and learning how to Double Dutch with our new jump ropes, the kids have been able to stay active outside with their peers. We are very appreciative and look forward to using our new equipment in the upcoming years as well.

Each year the Kindness Award is given to a 4th grade student who has shown kindness in and around the school in the time that they've been here. This year's Kindness Award was awarded to Julie in Mrs. Felcyn’s. She is leader in the classroom and out on the playground. She always has a smile on and works to the best of her ability. Her words to both students and staff are always kind in nature. Congratulations to this year's bike winners! They showed their Tiger Pride throughout the year. Special thank you to Sundance, Thrivant and our anonymous donors for donating the bikes. 2nd Grade – Orbin in Mrs. Leek’s and Lah in Mrs. Holland’s 3rd Grade – Serenity in Mrs. Pavek’s and Lay in Ms. Grey’s 4th Grade – Khalid in Mrs. Witherow’s and Eh Sa in Mrs. MacKinnon’s BE RESPONSIBLE – BE RESPECTFUL – BE SAFE

Our MPS athletes represented us well yesterday at the various events we had going on throughout the section. 👏🏻 The baseball team won their first section game last night, go Tigers! ⚾ The boys golf team are the new section CHAMPS🏆 and will be advancing to State. ⛳👏🏻 The last time they advanced to state was back in 2014. Boys golf also had individual qualifiers as well which are Jayden Manthei (3rd place), Luke Ehlers (4th place), and Nate Panka (5th place). Brayden Louwagie also placed well at 14th place. Great job boys and best of luck at state! The girls' golf team f took 4th place overall.👏🏻 While not continuing on to state as a team, we do have two girls advancing to state individuals which are Dayton Webskowski (6th place) and Grace Rokeh (9th). 🏅🏅 We also had great contributions and finishes by Maddi Panka, Ali Pederson, Isabella Grossen and Rylee Jacobson. Last but not least, after day 1 of the boys and girls section track meet, we had 2 girls punch their ticket to state individuals which are Ali Sample (who placed 2nd and broke a new school record in the 3200)🥈, and Brooklyn Purrington who was the section champion 🥇in the high jump! We also had several other athletes medal at Sections yesterday including: Kohen Holcomb placed 6th in the 3200-meter run, Chioma Onyeaghala placed 7th in the long jump, Paige Gillingham placed 6th in the girl's discus. Advancing to the finals tomorrow are Aidan Schuerman in both the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles, Mickey Hess in the 200-meter dash, Alex Franson and Keagen Anderson in the 400m dash, Sam Deutz in the 800-meter run, Aysia Miles in the 200 , Cameen McFarquar in the 300 hurdles., both Peyton Boeck and Avery Schneekloth in the 400-meter dash and Taleigha Bigler and Landry Graven moved on to the finals in the 800m. 🏃🏻‍♀️🐾 Best of luck to all athletes competing tomorrow. State golf will be June 11th and 12th at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, MN!🐯
