Teacher appreciation week last week was special at Park Side! Staff enjoyed a beverage bar, Dilly Bars by the PTO, Popcorn bar, gift certificates from the shine center, cookies & gift cards from Hy-Vee, cookies from the MHS inspiring educators and a gift card drawing donated by parents. Mrs. Bot's Lifetime Fitness class headed on over to the Red Baron Arena earlier this week for a little skating. Fun was had by all!
Parkside 1st graders have been learning all but how to classify animals and learn about different animal habitats! They were able to look closely at a honeycomb, find the queen bees, learn how honey is made, and even got to meet a friendly reptile, Stein the tortoise!

It's National School Nurse Day! Being a nurse is a profession full of challenges and we want them to know how much we appreciate all that they do! Not only do they care for our students, but they also serve our schools by teaching staff about important health care matters, doing vision screenings, Individual Health Care Plans and treating students with many conditions. Last Friday was May Fun Day at Southview. Students got to either play Bingo, have a dance party, or do an art craft. Students and staff had a great time and was a great way to start the final month of school off!
