Mr. Christenson jumped in between classes to repair a student’s flat tire and got them safely back on the road and on their way to the next class. We’re lucky to have staff who go the extra mile to help our students when they need it! 👏🚗

Clayton is rocking his Ed 101 placement! 👏
Students who are considering a career in education are currently enrolled in the College in the Schools Education 101 class, where they gain experience by completing observation hours in classrooms throughout the district. Some of these students are placed at Park Side and Southview Elementary.
Clayton’s placement is in the Home Décor & More class, where he recently stepped up and led a lesson on making flowers out of sheet metal. He walked students through using tin snips to cut out their petals, adding texture and shape, and even started showing them how to use a die to cut threads onto their “stems” so the flowers can be assembled.
Meanwhile, students placed at the elementary level have been gaining experience helping with activities like reading groups — a great way to explore what a future in education might look like.
