Our schools are preparing to undergo an organizational assessment regarding our technology landscape. We will be collecting data to better prioritize, measure, implement and monitor ongoing technology around teaching and learning. We are asking for your input via an online assessment. We can only do this with your assistance. We invite you to participate anonymously using the link below. This assessment will help us understand your experiences when it comes to activities like access to your child’s grades, communicating with school teachers and staff, student access to devices, etc. Your voice will contribute to prioritizing and making systematic change across our community. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and is available until: February 15th, 2024. Thank you, we value your feedback! Begin the evaluation here: https://www.research.net/r/Marshall2024

Marshall Leadership Academy and SMSU are partnering with the MPS's Kindness Closet in hosting an event at SMSU tomorrow during the Men's and Women's basketball games! They will be accepting items for the Kindness Closet during both the 5:30pm and 7:30pm games. Baby-Adult items are accepted. The Kindness Closet is a Goodwill area located in the basement of the media center in the Middle School. Gently used items are donated and students and families are able to come and "shop" for whatever they need. All items are free! The Kindness Closet is run by life skills classes at Marshall Middle School where students learn various job skills such as following the directives of a supervisor, appropriate job social skills, dealing with conflict appropriately, folding, sorting, entering data, helping customers, bagging, organizing, etc. Students in the life skills classes "apply" for various jobs each quarter and haver to interview. They are then given a job to work on for that quarter when they are in the KC. Students get paid $5 (play money) per shift they work. This goes into their bank account, and they are able to shop at the classroom store on Fridays. This is a win-win for our students and our community!
