Are you passionate about keeping outdoor spaces beautiful and well-maintained? We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team!
📍 Location: Marshall Public Schools
🔧 Responsibilities:
• Lawn and Garden Maintenance: Mow lawns, trim and edge grass, weed garden beds, and prune shrubs and trees. Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
• Facility Upkeep: Clean and maintain outdoor facilities, including playgrounds, parking lots, and walkways. Remove trash and debris and ensure that all outdoor areas are free of hazards.
• Irrigation: Monitor and maintain irrigation systems. Adjust watering schedules and repair leaks or malfunctions in irrigation systems.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, and edgers. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any issues.
• Seasonal Tasks: Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, leaf collection, and winterizing irrigation systems.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Manage seasonal staff

👥 Qualifications:
• High School Diploma

To enhance safety, we request that all drivers enter and exit the school premises by making right-hand turns. This practice significantly reduces the risk of accidents on the state highways.
⛔Additionally, we strongly discourage making U-turns on Highway 23 at the intersection of State Drive and Tiger Drive.

🪥Marshall Public Schools is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Children’s Dental Services. 🦷 Children’s Dental Services is a non-profit dental provider dedicated to providing care to patients of all ages. They offer preventative, diagnostic, and restorative care to all school children. Beginning this Fall, students will have the opportunity to receive these services during the school day at their respective schools. CDS accepts all forms of public and private insurance. 👏🏽No child is denied treatment due to an inability to pay. Letters ✉️will be sent out to all MPS families with the opportunity to participate. Consent forms are available in English, Spanish, Somali , Hmong and Karen language and will be available at each school. 🏫

As we begin preparations for the 2024-25 school 🏫 year, we kindly ask that you get your school device 👨🏽💻👩🏼💻 ready for a successful return. Please take a moment during the last ✌🏼two weeks of August to ensure your device is fully charged and updated. 🔋
Here’s how to perform the necessary system updates:
1. Log into your device with your username and password.
2. Click on the Windows Start menu (the four blue squares in the bottom center of your computer screen).
3. From the menu options, click on Settings (the gear icon).
4. Once the Settings window opens, click on Windows Update at the bottom of the list on the left.
5. In the Windows Update screen, click on the Check for Updates button toward the top right.
6. Your computer will check for updates and begin downloading and installing them.
7. You may be prompted to Restart your computer during this process—please do so if prompted.
8. Repeat this process until the Windows Update screen indicates that your computer is up to date (this may require multiple restarts).
Completing these steps will ensure your computer is ready for school!

📢Attention all JH Volleyball players🏐, grades 7th-8th. Practice starts tomorrow, August 26th at 3:30pm in the Middle School gym. Your coach will communicate with you on practice times and any other information needed that day. As we prepare for another exciting year of Marshall Tiger Activities, we would like to share some important expectations for all attendees at MPS events:
✨Passes: Passes are available online through the GoFan app. High school students can attend home events for free by showing their student ID at the entrance. All students in grades k-8 are required to buy a pass or ticket. Senior (60+) passes can pick them up at a Home Event before Sept 13th. They will be available again in the winter season.
✨Positive Support: We strongly encourage all students to show their Tiger pride by cheering positively for our team!👏🏽 Please remember that any chants or remarks against the opposing team will not be tolerated. MSHSL officials have instructed event supervisors to address any negative behavior immediately.
✨Stadium Conduct: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, all students are expected to remain in the stands during the event. Roaming around the facility is not permitted. NEW At football games, if a student is not sitting with an adult, they will sit in their assigned section. JH - first section on the south end of the stadium. Elementary students will sit in the last section on the north end. 🚫 No balls are allowed. 🚫
