Do you have a new baby at home or know someone in the district who does? We’d love to hear from you!

We’re updating our school census and want to make sure every child in our district is included in our records. This helps us plan for future programming, outreach, and educational opportunities.

📞 Please call the Early Childhood Office at 507-929-2633 to add your child to our school database.

Even if your child isn’t school-age yet, it’s important for us to know they’re part of our growing Tiger family! 🧡🐯

Children’s Dental Services (CDS) provides dental care at school, which may include exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatment, sealants, silver diamine fluoride (SDF), fillings, crowns, extractions and other treatments as needed during regular school hours. CDS accepts all forms of public and private insurance. No child is denied treatment due to an inability to pay.

If you would like your child to receive dental care or if you are able to fill out the form as an adult (18 years or older), please fill out the form and return it to school. Please note: Annual permission is required. CDS may need to call with questions prior to treatment; please be sure to provide a number to reach you during the school day.

In science Mrs. Kuecker’s class practiced using the scientific method to find out how many drops of water can fit on the surface of a penny. We were surprised!

Mrs. Leek’s class would like to thank Pride in the Tiger for the morning soft start items we received. Students are enjoying calm mornings where they can be creative and continue to work on social skills. These activities engage their minds and hands. Thank you, Pride in the Tiger!

Mrs. Caron’s Second Grade class is thankful for our Pride in the Tiger Grant. This grant allowed us to purchase stem activities for our morning soft starts. Soft starts are giving the kids a chance to start their day doing something that sparks their creativity, problem solving and social skills. Thank you Pride in the Tiger!

Mrs. Moua's 2nd grade class would like to thank Pride in the Tiger Foundation for providing us with funds to be able to purchase soft start activities. These bins will help students transition calmly into the day, providing a positive atmosphere, reducing anxiety, and having them engaged in a low stress, hands-on activity. These activities encourage problem solving, teamwork, creativity, imagination and help build relationships. Thank you PITF for your continued support here at Southview!

💼 On October 10, Ms. Kellen’s and Ms. Timmerman’s Careers classes welcomed several amazing guest professionals who helped students review their resumes and cover letters and then participated in a Q&A panel.

This hands-on experience gave students valuable feedback and real-world insight into career readiness. 🌟
