At MPS, we are deeply committed to nurturing the holistic development of our students, recognizing that social-emotional skills are paramount for their success both inside and outside the classroom now and as an adult. Through innovative approaches such as iTimes with the BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) framework, Ramp Up to Readiness program, and the implementation of quality teaching and learning practices, we're providing students with a robust support system to enhance their self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal competencies. Our iTimes sessions, offer dedicated time for students to engage in meaningful discussions, reflective activities, and peer interactions, fostering a sense of belonging and empathy. Additionally, our Ramp Up to Readiness initiatives equip students with essential life skills and goal-setting strategies for career and college readiness skills in or to empower them to navigate future challenges with resilience and determination. MPS also has a "Between the Bells" program that helps promote positive mental health and social awareness for our students. Through these combined efforts, we strive to cultivate a positive school culture where every student feels valued, understood, and prepared for future success.
