Greetings from Marshall Public Schools!
MPS in collaboration with Marshall Chamber of Commerce, would like to invite you to join us for the Career & Technical Institute’s Open House on December 12th from 4:30-6:00pm. There’ll be coffee, hot cocoa, cookies, and sandwiches to snack on while you explore the new Medical, Auto and Welding Institute areas and ask questions you have about the new building or the Career & Technical Education program. We are located at 900 US-59. See you there!

E.C.F.E is so thankful for our amazing students, families, and staff! Winter registration will be opening mid-December. Watch your mailbox 📫 for the Marshall Community Services Catalog.

MMS students had an amazing time previewing Marshall High School's Fall Musical! Students really enjoyed all the different components combined into one theatrical presentation. Great job MHS and thank you for letting us visit!

Members of the Marshall Conservation Crew went out on Tuesday afternoon to check for levels of nitrates and salt in the Redwood River. They will check again in the spring to see if anything has changed!

Mrs. Leek’s and Mrs. Caron’s class would like to thank Pride in the Tiger for the set of decodables for our classrooms. We use these books in our small skill groups. Our students are loving these “just right” books that continue to focus on important phonics skills. We are so grateful for your support!

Thank you to MPS's Substitute Educators! These educators fill the shoes of the class's regular teacher for half a day up to several weeks. They are flexible and resilient educators who provide a bridge between full-time educators and their students. We appreciate everything they do for us!

1st grade families! Here are the heart words for the week!

Happy listening and practicing!

Kindergarten Families!!
Your child officially started learning about "Heart Words" this week! Teachers and students "mapped" or talked about the sounds in the words. For any sounds that are irregular (don't say what they "normally" say) we added a heart to the top because we need to remember it by heart! As students progress through the phonics skills, some of the hearts go away because they no longer need to "remember" that part (as it was explicitly taught).
Each week, the heart words will be posted along with a video that you can watch with your child!
Again, we do not want students memorizing the entire word! Instead, listening and writing the parts we can hear and then sometimes having to remember other parts by heart!

Enjoy!
