This week in 6th grade Language Arts the students are reading Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain which was adapted into a play. To add a little extra excitement students got to read as the different characters and were given the option to wear some fun costumes and props in Ms. Morris's class. What a fun thing to do during homecoming week!

5th grade students had the opportunity to attend the Environmental Fair at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Students participated in numerous sessions pertaining to recycling, glaciers, soil, wetlands, drones, trees, stream tables, the zoo-mobile, contained fires, prairies, energy, and many more. We had a wonderful day and enjoyed the hands-on learning opportunities.





Our homecoming football game and dance are fast approaching this Friday! The football game starts at 7pm at Mattke field, SMSU and there is a tailgating meal before the game. Here's the information about the dance - we hope to see you there!

Students in 8th grade social studies have applying their map skills and physical geography vocabulary to create their own fictious land mass. It's been fun to see their knowledge and creativity come together to produce high quality work!

Marshall Public Schools and Pride in the Tiger Foundation are excited to receive a #HometownGrant from @TMobile to create a career and technical workforce training center for youth, available to all students through the public school system to provide more opportunities for hands-on and skills-based learning. Come & celebrate with us!

Thank you to the SMSU Boys Basketball team for coming and spending the day at Southview during the students phy-Ed time. They all had a blast.
