We said goodbye to our bus stop structure that has been around since the school was built. It was starting to have structural issues and no longer serves a purpose as a bus shelter.

Students were having more “Fun in the Kitchen” … well outside, with kitchen tools! Students used containers of water to determine conversions between cups, pints, quarts, and gallons. They had to estimate each of the conversions then check their math using the water and containers.

Students in summer school are having FUN IN THE KITCHEN! Ms. Stiles, MS FACS teacher, helped students make fruit salsa with cinnamon and sugar chips! Before starting, students used proper handwashing techniques to ensure they were ready to go! After students were taught how to properly use a butter knife, they had to dice strawberries, apples, raspberries, and bananas into bite sized pieces. Other students added butter to chips and sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar. In the end, all students had the chance to try fruit salsa! It is something students can make at home as a refreshing, healthy snack!
